Really

There is so much going on these days that we sometimes wonder what is fact or fiction, real or unreal. I love post processing images, and there are very few that I have captured that I don't think deserve a little tweak here or there. But I just didn't want to do anything with this one except to share it. Our world really is that beautiful. Sometimes you just have to spend a little time walking around and looking at nature's compositions and to be humbled. OK, I know there are some pretty darn good photographer friends out there who will look at this one and, as we say, "pixel peep". Yes, I could have cleaned up the spots in the driveway and I could have removed the little white "spikey" things in the mid right because they draw the eye toward them. I could have cropped in from the right, too, and eliminated that planting bed. But this is exactly what I saw on my walk yesterday afternoon, just as it was, warts and wrinkles and all. It's not a perfect image. But I love it anyway. Life isn't perfect either. But if we look at the big picture, we can always find beauty, if not perfection.
